Description

L’Amar GRANULAX™ : is a granular preparation containing Plantago Ovata and Cassia Angustifolia which provides natural relief from constipation.

Active Ingredients:

  • Plantago Ovata (Ispaghula Seed Powder), Plantago Ovata (Ispaghula Husk Powder), Cassia Angustifolia (Senna Pod Powder).

Excipients

  • Sugar, Gum Acacia, Purified Talc, Iron Oxide Red, Iron Oxide Yellow, Iron Oxide Black, Peppermint Oil, Sage Oil, Caraway Oil, Hard Paraffin and Heavy Liquid Paraffin.

Each 5 g of granules contains:

  • Plantago Ovata Seed (Ispaghula) 2.60 g
  • Plantago Ovata Husk (Ispaghula) 0.11 g
  • Cassia Angustifolia (Senna Pod) 0.50 to 0.66g(equivalent to 15 mg sennosides)

L’Amar GRANULAX™ is a granular preparation containing Plantago Ovata and Cassia Angustifolia which provides natural relief from constipation.

Plantago Ovata seed and ispaghula husk are bulk forming agents. They are rich in alimentary fibres, mucilages. Which collectively increases the mass and water content of the stool. Gut mobility and transit rate can be modified through the mechanical stimulation of the gut wall through the swollen lubricating mass of mucilage, when consumed with a sufficient amount of water.

Cassia Angustifolia senna pod acts on the intestinal wall to increase the peristaltic movements of the colon.

Indication:

Natural relief from constipation and for bowel evacuation.

Contraindication:

Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of L'Amar GranulaxTM. Use during breast feeding is not recommended.

Warnings and Precautions:

L'Amar GranulaxTM should not be used by patients with faecal impaction and symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting unless advised by a doctor because these symptoms can be signs of potential or existing intestinal blockages (ileus).

Inadequate fluid may cause obstruction of the large bowel. L'Amar GranulaxTM should be taken with adequate amounts of liquid (preferably water) to prevent faecal impaction and oesophageal obstruction.

There are no reports of undesirable or damaging effects during pregnancy and on the foetus when used at the recommended dosage schedule.

Keep out of reach of children.

Recommended daily dose:

As directed by the Physician.

Direction for use:

  1. L'Amar GranulaxTM granules should not be chewed or dissolved but swallowed whole with full glass of water.
  2. Adults and children 12 years and older: 5g to 10g after the evening meal.

Storage information:

Store below 30°C in a cool and dry place. Protect from direct sunlight.

Side effects:

  1. Gastrointestinal disorders.
  2. Oesophageal obstruction
  3. flatulence
  4. colic or cramps
  5. Hypersensitivity reactions (pruritus, urticaria, local or generalized exanthema) may occur
